Maria joined the BFF 4 Change Board in May 2025. She has a zealous interest in small business in the local area and believes that small business is the backbone of both our economy and community and deserves support whenever possible. BFF 4 Change gives her the opportunity to engage this support for small business and expand this support to people in need.

Until recently Maria has owned and run local businesses and has experienced first-hand how a small business can become ingrained in the local community. Now an office manager to a local Real Estate agency she is experiencing another aspect to the type of relationships you can build through these often emotional transactions.

Maria began volunteering her time as Vice President of the Cronulla Chamber of Commerce and met Cathy (BFF Founder and CEO) through this channel. Maria and Cathy have spent Saturdays in December, for the past two years, fundraising by wrapping Christmas presents in Cronulla Mall and engaging the community about the BFF organisation.

Maria’s expertise is people engagement and small business and will bring these skills with energy to the Board of BFF 4 Change.
